This is not another class where you sit and take notes about a project you should probably do someday.
You are bringing the actual papers.
I am bringing my actual Gan curriculum papers.
And for 90 minutes, we are going to sit together on Zoom, talk, laugh, ask questions, make decisions, and finally work through the piles we have been avoiding.
I’ll teach you how to use my three-step Frum Minimalism method specifically for paper, and then we are getting to work.
Because the problem is usually not that you do not know you have too many papers.
The problem is that nobody wants to sit alone on the floor and decide whether to keep a handwriting page from 1991.
So we are not doing it alone.
1. What should you bring?

Choose one meaningful collection of personal papers.
And no, that does not necessarily mean one tiny pile, one box, or one child’s papers. It means one clear category that belongs together.
You might bring:
- All your children's artwork and school papers
- One child's papers, if that child has a truly impressive paper empire
- Your own papers from childhood through high school, seminary, or college
- Cards, letters, and sentimental papers
- Old notebooks, binders, shiurim, and class materials
- Printed recipes, articles, and resources
- Physical photographs
- Curriculum, worksheets, lesson plans, crafts, and teaching materials
Your collection may fit into one box, or it may currently be spread across several boxes, drawers, bags, and random corners of your home. That is fine.
Choose one understandable category, gather it together, and bring it to the party.
2. The Frum Minimalism 3-Step Method

GET RID OF IT ALL
Pretend the entire collection disappeared. Nothing automatically stays just because it was already in your home.
2.
CLEAN THE SPACE
Start with a fresh space and clear, reasonably sized containers.

INVITE BACK
Choose what you truly need, use, and love—what would you chase down the street to get back?
Once you know how to do this with one collection of papers, you will be able to repeat the process with every other paper pile in your home.
3. What will you actually accomplish?
That depends on how many papers you bring and how quickly you make decisions.
Some women may complete an entire collection during our 90 minutes together.
Fast decision-makers may finish several boxes or collections of papers.
I am not promising that twenty years of papers will magically disappear in one evening.
I am promising that you will:
- Learn a clear, repeatable way to declutter paper
- Use the method on a real collection while I am there to guide you
- Make visible progress during the party
- Create a simple home for what you choose to keep
- Leave knowing exactly how to continue with the rest
You are not coming only to “get motivated.”
You are coming to learn the skill and do the work.
4. Physical photographs
You can also bring printed photographs. We will reduce the collection and divide what remains into broad, easy categories.
This party is for physical photographs only. We will not be organizing digital photo libraries.

You do not need any elaborate organizing system or hundreds of dollars of matching containers. You just need to prepare a reasonable, limited home for the papers you choose to invite back.

This is not a webinar where we quietly watch slides while answering emails in another tab. We are gathering with our boxes, working together, asking questions, showing our progress, and laughing about some of the ridiculous things we find.
That shared energy is the entire point.

This party is for uncomplicated personal, sentimental, educational, creative, and teaching papers.
It is not for anything that may require professional guidance, including:
- —Tax or bookkeeping records
- —Business papers
- —Extremely emotional or difficult papers and photos
- —Legal documents or contracts
- —Bank or investment documents
- —Medical, insurance, immigration, property, or government records
- —Receipts for taxes, returns, warranties, or business expenses
- —Anything you may need to ask a professional about
Here is the simple rule:
If you are wondering whether you are legally, financially, emotionally or medically allowed to get rid of it, do not bring it to this party.
We will also not be teaching shredding methods, recycling rules, retention laws, or official disposal instructions. We are focusing on the personal papers you feel completely comfortable making your own decisions about.
